Celebrating National Poetry Month
April is National Poetry Month! You can celebrate by checking out our poetry collection or by entering our contest.
Bring your original found poem or blackout poem to the library by 5:00 pm on April 23. People will have 1 week to vote on their favorites, and winners will be announced April 30. If doing a found poem, include the titles where you found your language.
Rules:
- compose a found or blackout poem
- bring your poem to the Harper public library by 5 pm on April 23
- put your name on the back of your entry, not the front
- encourage people to vote between April 24 and April 30
- winners will be announced April 30
- prizes will be awarded for 10 and under, 11-17, and 18 and over
